As a possible aid to my recovery, my other half questioned whether my footwear might have needed to be updated.
Most running shoe manufacturers suggest a lifetime for their products of around four hundred miles.
I try to log which shoes I wear when I do a workout but this is nowhere near one hundred percent. However, I’m pretty sure that most of my shoes are past their best so a purchase was needed.
My last few pairs have been made by Hoya but I spotted a pair from Scarpa. I used to love Scarpa shoes especially the Spark of which I have owned three pairs. Unfortunately, this model is no longer produced and haven’t been for a while – my last pair, I had to get from eBay.

The model that I’ve just purchased are called Spin Planet and seem to be a good mix of support and cushioning.
They arrived today so I am breaking them in by walking around at work. I may give them a bit of a longer trial later as I have five miles to cover today.
