Free Meal and Sunset

Another day at work (as if I’m counting down) but during my busy schedule I did notice that I had a voucher for Harvester. Not unusual but this one was for a FREE MAIN on my next visit.

As I’d cooked the last few days, I felt that I deserved a night off so, after checking with Sue, booked a table for six (o’clock, not people).

It’s a sign that we are possibly spending too much time at the Harvester as I didn’t need to look at the menu as I knew what I wanted. Being pescatarian helps with menu choices as it narrows down my option quite a bit.

Sue had a quick look but more to confirm her choice that’s anything else.

We ordered …

Kev – Scampi and Dirty Fries (I have become addicted to those cheesy fries)
Sue – Mixed Grill (sans black pudding)

As we were finishing our meals, Sue asked if we were going on to The Griffin. What could I say ?

We settled up, happily noticing that the more expensive main was discounted, then drove up the road to said watering hole.
We met up with a couple who we hadn’t seen for a while for a bit of a catch-up.
Leaving the pub, we were greeted by a spectacular sunset extending across one hundred and eighty degrees of horizon (the photo doesn’t do it justice).
Back home, we finished series one of Only Murders in the Building before retiring to bed.
