After the Cortisone injection failed to make any improvement in my knee, I returned to the consultant, this week, to discuss further options. Realistically, there is only one option and that is a knee replacement.
The Doc (actually he’s one of those Mister Docs) agreed that my knee showed significant damage and agreed to put me on the waiting list for a new knee. Hopefully, he is hoping to get away with replacing just the worn out parts but as he said, if when he’s got me on the table he can assess the damage first hand as it were.
We are looking at going under the knife in four to five months so that puts it somewhere around Crimbo.
