With A Coventry Way fast approaching, I want to make sure that my footwear is up to the job.
My current, number one, pair was transported me for three hundred miles and are showing some signs of wear.
Instead of waiting until I HAVE to get new shoes and then break them in, I’m purchased a new pair now so that I can alternate between the two so, hopefully, the new ones are broken in BEFORE the old ones are worn out.
I have, again, gone for Hoka One One, this time Challenger ATR7 GTX. The GTX means that the uppers are Gortex so should keep my feet dry unless they get submerged.
My current pair are also Grotex and I’m well impressed with the waterproofing.
I tried these out walking about a mile or so and the left shoe really pinched due to my bunion. I was glad to get them off.
I have loosened the laces off at the the toe end and managed four miles without any discomfort.
