Finished work (not for ever, that’s forty one days away) but for the next week and a bit.
On the way into work, I stopped at the garage to fill up the tank and treat the car to a not too frequent wash. I sat in the automatic wash as my vehicle was washed, scrubbed, waxed and dried. When all was complete, I started up the car and we welcomed by an orange spanner symbol – bugger !
The car still drove fine but on arrival at work, I checked to see exactly what needed maintenance and discovered that the high level brake light was faulty.
I checked the manual which stated that the lighting unit was LED and had to be replaced completely. However, YouTube came to the rescue showing that the light actually contained an old school bulb. I physically checked my vehicle to discover that this was the truth. So, I’d need to stop off at Halford on the way home for a 12V 16W lamp.
I picked up a bulb (I was going to get two, one as a spare) but they only had the one.
Back home the bulb was replaced and the orange spanner disappeared.
Sue and I got some things together and packed bags for the dogs stay at the kennels, blankets, toys, food, before bundling them into the back of the car to be whisked away.
At the kennels, Gabby was quite keen to go in by Misty took a little persuading. As The Griffin was only about a mile away we took the opportunity to grab, what was now officially, a holiday drink.
Whilst supping, Matt and Reubens (his dog) arrived and joined us. We have been friends with Matt and his other half Cas for some time but haven’t had a chat for a while so took this chance to catch up.
A short while later and Cas arrived so we did have to recount some news.
