After an, unusually slightly busy, day at work, I arrived home with just enough time to harness up the dogs and walk them to the pet shop to meet Sue from work at five o’clock.

The girls walked fine, after the initial madness, and we did the 1.2 mile walk arriving about five minutes before Sue clocked off.

As the dogs were in their harnesses I clipped them onto short leads attached to the rear seats. Long enough to move around but too short for them to jump out.

Back home, Sue had her post-work coffee before we nipped out to The Griffin for a couple of drinks – in my case, Scarlett Macaw and Green Devil.

Back home, a dinner of scallops and king prawns on a chickpea and butternut squash sauce over pasta, was prepared and consumed.

We watched a bit of TV (mainly Sue watched and messed about on my phone / iPad).

Around half nine, I retired to bed and although I took a while to nod off, had a good night’s sleep once away with the fairies.
