Back in September 2022, I entered and completed a thirty five mile bike ride organised by the Purity Brewery based near Alcester in Warwickshire.

My blog entry for that event can be seen HERE.

Now that I’m back into the cycling (virtually at least), I have gone and signed up for the same event being held on September 13th 2025.

Assuming that the course is the same as, or near enough to, what it was three years ago, it’ll look something like this.

I seem to remember a couple of get-off-and-walk hills but overall it wasn’t too gruelling.

As well as improving my general fitness and cycling specific attributes, I will have to venture out into the real world and ride a real bike.

I did manage a ten miler to The Griffin a few weeks back and am possibly repeating the exercise this coming Wednesday. Still not up to riding back have cut, Sue has kindly agreed to pick me up in the sag wagon.

There is a chap who lives locally (in fact there are probably a few) but this guy often cycles to said watering hole mid-week. He hasn’t got his usual biking buddy with him this week and I’m trying to contact him to see if I could be his temporary wingman.
