After allowing ourselves a lazy start, we drove to nearby (about a mile away) Westward Ho! to have a look around and grab a few AdLabs.
At Westward Ho! (the only place in the UK with an exclamation point in the name) we discovered two AdLab adventures (ten locations).
On our way around we did pass a caravan / mobile home park which catered for families with dogs.
Once the AdLabs had been completed we made our way to the shore for an Earthcache. With fresh knowledge about on shore drift we returned to the town and breakfast butties.
After exhausting Westward Ho! we continued along the coast back to Appledore but, as usual, the place was heaving so we moved on to Bideford for a few more AdLabs.

We found the first few locations but then Sue started to flag so we decided that I should continue the series and we’d meet up afterwards.
The final location was at the site of Bideford railway station (no longer in use but part of the Tarka Trail).
A short section of track had been laid and was to home to a café housed in an old railway carriage.
We retired back to base for a bit of recuperation and at around dinner time, I returned to Appledore to complete the ADLab series that we started earlier in the week. The final location was at the lifeboat station but this was also the location of the first part of a multi-cache.
With the AdLab adventure completed and the final co-ordinates calculated for the cache, I drove to that location. The actual container had not been found for many months so I was that confident about finding it but I soon had it in hand.
With caching complete, it was back to the chippy in Appledore for fish and chips (twice) and a quick call at the grocers for a few bottles of ale.
It was then back to base for our fish supper washed down with a few Minnie’s before turning in for the night.
