My Garmin Fenix 5, which I bought a few years ago, now, was starting to look a bit tired.
The bezel was a bit dull and had gained a few scratches.
I searched on t’internet and most people advised against polishing but a few mentioned an alternative method. Namely, a new bezel which stuck on top of the old one.
The wording on my old stainless bezel has always difficult to read so I choose a black replacement with white lettering from Amazon.
A day after ordering, the Amazon driver left on my front door step (even though my address actually states NOT on front door step – put in courier box to right of door) a parcel containing, amongst others, my shiny new bezel.
After thoroughly cleaning the old bezel, I removed the backing paper and carefully aligned the new one over it. I made sure that I pressed down well all around. And voila, looks like new. I just hope that it stays put.
Even Sue was impressed !
Also, in my Amazon package was a little rechargeable, red LED light to stick on the back of my pack to make me a little more visible.
