I was recently re-reading a blog entry from November 2017 (LINK) where I was waffling on about losing weight. I had used a link on the NHS website to discover that my Body Mass Index (BMI) was 30 making me (just) obese.
Today, I repeated the exercise and my current BMI is now 28.9 (overweight). Apparently, my ideal weight for my height should be between 60kg and 80 kg. Taking the average, 70kg would be a good weight – a loss of 24kg !
Can I possibly lose that much (or any at all to be honest) ?
I do like my food and I do like my beer.
In the past I have used (with some success) an app called MyFitnessPal to log my calorie ins and outs.
I’ve just entered my food consumption for today and after having lunch I can only take in another 210 calories. I was hoping for a pub outing and a takeaway this evening. Oh well, as they say, the diet starts tomorrow. Tomorrow should be a bit easier as I’ve got eighteen miles to walk so that should burn off a few calories.
