After work, I walked the mile or so to Duddeston railway station (walk 2) and awaited a train to Sutton Coldfield.

..
After a few minutes, a train arrived and I clambered aboard. Expecting a packed train, I was pleasantly surprised to find an almost empty vehicle. I settled down for the fifteen minute or so ride.
Just after four, I arrived at Sutton Coldfield and made my way over the footbridge to the town centre.
Bypassing the shopping centre, I made my way to meet Plants Brook heading out of town.
Plants Brook’s source is in the Streetly area of Sutton Park and flows under the town centre before resurfacing near Plantsbrook school from where it makes its way to New Hall Valley Country Park.
The brook was then followed for a couple of miles, finally passing Pipe Hayes Park and depositing me on Eachelhurst Road. A short walk through the houses brought me to another waterway, this time the Birmingham Fazeley Canal which I utilised to get me to The Tyburn House.
From The Tyburn, it was only a couple of miles or so, past JLR and Castle Bromwich to home.
It was a nice walk and with the good train service, one I’d try again.
10.92 miles in total for today.
