After yesterday’s jaunt it was difficult to work up much enthusiasm to go to work today. However, with my retirement creeping closer everyday I just need to bide my time.

After work, I managed to talk Sue into a pint and a Chinese (although Sue would be drinking coffee and then not by the pint). Our venue was The Griffin.

Starting with a pint of Sarah Hughes we found a table and plonked ourselves down just as a couple of friends, initially from the old running club, arrived and were invited to join us.

With talk of walking (we’ve all slowed down) to Wacky Races we had a good night of laughs along with Jaipur, Green Devil and Pitchfork.

After, probably, too much beer, we excused ourselves to go home stopping off at The Rice Bowl to pick up a spot of dinner.
