Twenty Pounds Off

No, this is not a post about my extremely effective dieting. More later.

Another, biding my time at work, work day. I’d messaged Sue earlier suggesting dining (is that too fine a word for this place?) at Harvester this evening. She replied in the affirmative at dinner time. I booked a table for half six.

Before Sue got home from work, I showered, shaved and made a half-hearted attempt at dressing up.

We arrived at Coleshill’s Harvester a tad early but were shown to a table and orders taken.

  • Sue – Garlic Bread, Camembert & Cherry Tart
  • Kev – Chilli non carne and Dirty Fries

I had a few vouchers on my phone including 25% off mains, 40% off mains and £20 off if I spent £40. Which to use ?
As the total was just over forty quid I went for the £20 off option meaning that two drinks, starter and two mains cost me all of £24.
With the massive saving that I had made, we adjourned to The Griffin and blew most of it on beer.

On a health note, I have had an itchy back for a few days so got Sue to check it out. Standing there with shirt off (we weren’t in the Harvester any longer), Sue exercised great restraint gazing upon my body and said that there was a bit of a red mark that looked angry.

Hopefully the antibiotics that I’m currently taking will sort this out at the same time.
