On my walk from Digbeth to Gravely Hill, yesterday, I passed a long wooden fence which was being painted a uniform blue to cover up the graffiti that had been applied.

Nothing out of the ordinary but I was perplexed as to why they had left one small panel unpainted.

Today, whilst wasting time watching a YouTube video, I spied the same stretch of canal which revealed what had been painted on the hoarding beforehand.

The video was shot in January of this year and you can probably see, looking at the bottom right, that the mural was still a work in progress.

I recognise the work as that of local artist Annatrix who has adorned many a brummie wall.

Judging from the small piece that was left, it looks as though the original masterpiece had been vandalised.
