Chicken Dinner – or so the saying goes. However, being a pescatarian, I wouldn’t be having the bird.
The “winner, winner” bit isn’t one hundred percent accurate either as I haven’t actually won anything.
BUT, I did quite well in some Photocrowd contests.
Firstly, an old picture of a zebra against a white background earns me a four hundred and sixty third place in the Zebra contest, placing me in the top fifty percent.
Better still, I received a Judge Merit which bumped my points total up.
The site ranks all competitors by totalling all the points from the past twelve weeks. I’m only on week three so I’m moving up the rankings – from 6,813rd to 5,500th.
As long as I enter photos, I shall continue to move up until I reach week thirteen from whence I’ll need to keep up and not falling back.

My next success, was this shot in the Period Costumes section.
This contest was not rated by the community but was judged by an expert who kindly commended my picture.
That alone, gained me twenty one thousand points, increasing my overall score by a third.

Finally, I had entered a Steam Trains contest as I have a few pics of trains (believe it or otherwise).
My miniature engine from the Rhomney Hythe and Dymchurch railway secured me twenty first place and another chunk of points.

I do have a few more irons in the fire so hopefully I’ll be moving up a fair few places when the leaderboard is announced next Saturday.
